Mahalakshmi Vrat begins every year on the Ashtami Tithi of Shukla Paksha in
Bhadprad and ends on the Ashtami day of Krishna Paksha in the month of Ashwin,
which lasts for 16 days. On this day, 16 days of Mahalakshmi Vrat is performed
by worshiping with rituals. This day is known as Gajalakshmi Vrat. In
Gajalakshmi Vrat, the Gajalakshmi form of Maa Mahalakshmi is worshipped. In
this form, Goddess Lakshmi sits on the seat of an elephant. This day is
